1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions govern the booking, purchase and participation in the cultural, language and culinary experiences offered under the name “Sapuri of Sicily”.

Sapuri of Sicily is operated by Ilaria Cassibba, VAT No. 12629160016, based in Italy.

By submitting a booking request, authorizing a reservation deposit, purchasing an experience or taking part in any Sapuri of Sicily activity, the participant confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions.

These Terms apply to individual participants, families, private groups, companies, schools, associations and other organizations booking or participating in Sapuri of Sicily experiences.

2. The Experience

Sapuri of Sicily offers a premium cultural experience in Sicily, focused on Sicilian language, local traditions, family hospitality and traditional culinary activities.

The standard experience currently presented on the website is a five-day immersion in southeastern Sicily, designed for small groups and including language learning, cultural moments, cooking workshops, food tastings and hosted experiences in a private Sicilian setting.

The experience is not a generic tourist package and does not include travel agency services, flights, accommodation or transport unless expressly stated in writing.

3. What Is Included

Unless otherwise stated in the specific offer or booking confirmation, the Sapuri of Sicily five-day experience includes:

• 5 days of full-immersive cultural experience in Sicily;
• 20 hours of Sicilian language training;
• authentic didactic materials with exercises;
• 2 practical cooking workshops, for a total of approximately 6 hours;
• food tastings and one typical Sicilian lunch;
• small traditional treats or welcome details, subject to seasonal availability;
• a small-group format hosted in a private Sicilian atmosphere.

The exact daily schedule may vary according to organizational needs, availability, weather conditions, local circumstances or improvements made to the experience.

4. What Is Not Included

Unless expressly stated in writing, the following are not included in the price:

• accommodation;
• flights;
• airport transfers;
• local transport;
• travel insurance;
• personal expenses;
• extra meals or drinks not specifically included;
• any activity, service or product not clearly listed as included.

Participants are responsible for arranging and paying for their own travel, accommodation and personal insurance.

5. Prices

The usual price of the experience is currently €1,100 per person.

A special launch price of €950 per person may be offered for selected reservation windows, limited-time campaigns or early participants.

Sapuri of Sicily reserves the right to change prices, offers and availability at any time before a booking is confirmed. Price changes do not affect bookings that have already been officially confirmed in writing.

6. Booking Requests and Reservation Windows

Sapuri of Sicily may open limited reservation windows for specific sessions.

A reservation window normally lasts 7 days, unless otherwise stated.

During a reservation window, participants may submit a booking request and authorize a reservation deposit.

Submitting a booking request does not automatically confirm the session. A session is confirmed only when the minimum group size has been reached and Sapuri of Sicily has officially confirmed the session in writing.

7. Minimum and Maximum Group Size

The minimum group size required to confirm a session is 4 participants.

The maximum number of participants is 8.

Sapuri of Sicily uses this small-group format to preserve the quality, intimacy and personal nature of the experience.

If the minimum number of participants is not reached within the reservation window, the session may not be confirmed.

8. Reservation Deposit

The reservation deposit is approximately 30% of the special launch price.

Based on the current special launch price of €950 per person, the reservation deposit is approximately €285 per person.

During the booking process, the participant may be asked to authorize the reservation deposit through a secure payment provider.

The deposit is not immediately collected unless the minimum group size has been reached and the session is officially confirmed.

If the minimum group size is reached within the reservation window, Sapuri of Sicily may capture the authorized deposit and confirm the session.

If the minimum group size is not reached within the reservation window, no payment is collected and the authorization is released or allowed to expire, according to the rules of the payment provider and the participant’s bank or card issuer.

9. Payment Security

Payment information is processed securely by the selected payment provider.

Sapuri of Sicily does not store full credit card details directly on its website or systems.

The participant is responsible for ensuring that the payment method used is valid, authorized and has sufficient funds available for the reservation deposit if the session is confirmed.

10. Session Confirmation

A session is considered confirmed only when:

• the minimum number of participants has been reached;
• the reservation deposit has been captured or payment has otherwise been confirmed;
• Sapuri of Sicily has sent a written confirmation by email.

Before this confirmation, the session remains subject to minimum group size and organizational feasibility.

Once the session is confirmed, participants will receive further practical information regarding the experience, schedule, location guidance and any relevant preparation details.

11. Cancellation and Refunds

After the reservation deposit has been captured, participants may request cancellation and refund of the deposit within 14 days.

After this 14-day period, the reservation deposit becomes non-refundable, except where mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.

The date of receipt of the cancellation email will be used to determine whether the cancellation falls within the refundable period.

If a participant cancels after the refundable period, Sapuri of Sicily may retain the reservation deposit due to the limited group size, organizational commitments and reserved availability.

Any refund, where due, will normally be processed using the same payment method used for the original payment, unless otherwise agreed.

12. If Sapuri of Sicily Cancels or Reschedules

Sapuri of Sicily reserves the right to cancel, postpone or reschedule a session due to insufficient participants, force majeure, illness, safety concerns, weather-related issues, location unavailability or other serious organizational reasons.

If Sapuri of Sicily cancels a confirmed session, participants will be offered either:

• a refund of any amount already paid for that session; or
• the possibility to transfer the booking to a future session, where available.

Sapuri of Sicily is not responsible for additional costs incurred by participants, including but not limited to flights, accommodation, transport, insurance or personal expenses. Participants are strongly advised to arrange suitable travel insurance.

13. Program Changes

Sapuri of Sicily may make reasonable changes to the schedule, activities, order of sessions, recipes, materials, location details or included moments where necessary or beneficial to the quality and safety of the experience.

Such changes do not entitle the participant to a refund, provided that the overall nature and value of the experience remain substantially consistent with what was offered.

14. Participant Responsibilities

Participants agree to:

• provide accurate personal and contact information;
• inform Sapuri of Sicily in advance of allergies, dietary requirements, health conditions or accessibility needs;
• behave respectfully toward hosts, teachers, other participants and local spaces;
• follow reasonable safety and organizational instructions;
• arrive on time for scheduled activities;
• respect the private and family-oriented nature of the setting.

Sapuri of Sicily reserves the right to refuse participation or remove a participant from the experience if their conduct is unsafe, disrespectful, disruptive or incompatible with the nature of the activity. In such cases, no refund may be due.

15. Health, Allergies and Dietary Requirements

The experience may include food tastings, traditional meals and practical cooking workshops.

Participants must inform Sapuri of Sicily in writing before the experience of any allergies, intolerances, dietary restrictions or relevant health conditions.

Sapuri of Sicily will make reasonable efforts to accommodate dietary requirements where possible, but cannot guarantee the complete absence of allergens or cross-contamination in food-related activities.

Participation in cooking workshops and food tastings is at the participant’s own responsibility.

16. Accommodation, Travel and Insurance

Accommodation, flights, transfers and transport are not included unless expressly stated in writing.

Participants are responsible for organizing their own travel and accommodation.

Participants are strongly advised to purchase appropriate travel insurance covering cancellation, illness, accidents, travel disruption, personal belongings and any other relevant risks.

17. Intellectual Property and Learning Materials

All learning materials, texts, exercises, presentations, recipes, written content, visual materials and experience-related materials provided by Sapuri of Sicily remain the intellectual property of Sapuri of Sicily or their respective authors.

Participants may use such materials for personal learning purposes only.

Materials may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, published, sold, used for commercial purposes or shared publicly without prior written permission.

18. Photos, Videos and Promotional Content

Sapuri of Sicily may take photos or videos during the experience for documentation or promotional purposes only with appropriate consent where required.

Participants who do not wish to appear in photos or videos should inform Sapuri of Sicily in writing before the experience.

Any use of participant images for promotional purposes will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy and data protection laws.

19. Privacy and Personal Data

Sapuri of Sicily processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy.

Personal data may be collected for purposes including booking management, communication, payment handling, customer support, legal compliance and, where consent has been given, promotional communications or newsletter updates.

The Privacy Policy is available on the website and forms part of the legal information provided to participants.

20. Newsletter and Promotional Communications

Participants or website users may choose to subscribe to Sapuri of Sicily updates, news and promotional communications.

Newsletter or promotional emails will be sent only where the user has given specific consent, where required by law.

21. Limitation of Liability

Sapuri of Sicily provides cultural, language and culinary experiences with reasonable care and professionalism.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sapuri of Sicily is not liable for:

• travel delays or cancellations;
• accommodation issues;
• personal expenses;
• loss or damage to personal belongings;
• health issues not disclosed in advance;
• events outside its reasonable control;
• indirect or consequential losses.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is not permitted by applicable law.

22. Force Majeure

Sapuri of Sicily is not responsible for failure or delay in performing its obligations where this is caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather, illness, strikes, transport disruption, government restrictions, public health emergencies, power failures, internet outages or other force majeure events.

In such cases, Sapuri of Sicily may offer rescheduling, alternative arrangements or refunds where appropriate and legally required.

23. Website Information

Sapuri of Sicily makes reasonable efforts to ensure that information on the website is accurate and up to date.

However, website content, prices, dates, availability, images and descriptions may be updated or corrected at any time.

Images shown on the website may be illustrative and may not represent the exact items, setting or presentation available during every session.

24. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Italy.

Where the participant is a consumer, any mandatory consumer protection rights under applicable law remain unaffected.

25. Balance Payment and Future Automatic Charge

Once a session has been officially confirmed, the remaining balance of the experience price becomes due.

Based on the current special launch price of €950 per person and the reservation deposit of approximately €285 per person, the remaining balance is approximately €665 per person, unless a different confirmed price or offer applies.

By submitting a booking request and completing the secure payment authorization process, the participant expressly authorizes Sapuri of Sicily and its selected payment provider to store and reuse the payment method provided during checkout for the purpose of charging the remaining balance.

The remaining balance will be automatically charged 15 days before the official start date of the confirmed session.

For the Autumn Session 2026, scheduled from 30 September 2026 to 4 October 2026, the balance charge is scheduled for 15 September 2026.

For the Spring Session 2027, scheduled from 14 April 2027 to 18 April 2027, the balance charge is scheduled for 30 March 2027.

If a payment method offering instalment or deferred payment options is made available by the payment provider, the participant may be able to use that option according to the provider’s own conditions, eligibility checks, approval process, fees, instalment schedule and terms. Sapuri of Sicily is not responsible for the approval, refusal or management of instalment plans offered by third-party payment providers.

If the automatic balance charge fails, Sapuri of Sicily may contact the participant to request an alternative payment method or completion of the outstanding balance. Failure to complete payment of the remaining balance may result in cancellation of the participant’s place, without prejudice to any rights provided by applicable law or by the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
